Former President Gerald Ford dies at 93

Gerald R. Ford, who assumed the presidency from Richard Nixon in 1974 and announced to a weary nation that “our long national nightmare is over,” died Tuesday at age 93. Former first lady Betty Ford, who made the announcement, did not give a cause of death.

Headlines may be picked up on local home pages if you can reach your IP Provider.  Yahoo & MSN Tied up for the last half hour. Google page feeds active, but connection speed still slow.  Pop Servers are intermittently available. Expect delay for connection. CNN is currently unreachable.  Local news available on some stations, but attempts to switch to World news has faile. Pages with pictures and video embeds slow to not available many sites in the last hour.  Circuits busy. (Note to other bloggers : Your blogger will load after 5 minute delay, but expect reduced features…do not navigate away until you have made your entry because it may be extremely difficult to check back in.)

This sketch is actual just the corner border of a larger sketch done in 2000. As the sketchbook was started near the turn of

the century there are many calendar themed drawings in the collection. The larger Drawing in this case is a dragon with the Chinese Calender years.

Being on line for 5 months with active sites for 4 months, a formal site structure has been selected.  All information and files previously generated will still be available for visitors.  Let me take the time to thank all of the visitors who have been with us from the beginning, watching our progress.

  • of non commercial nature from this site will be sent to the sister sites through DEBWEBLOG (www.debraford123.com/blog1 )
  • each of the remote sites will be updated with fresh information on the local networks. 
  • This log differs from DEBWEBLOG (community service) in that it may also contain specific post related to Debra Ford Enterprises which handles the business aspects.  
  • Those of you who have subscribed to  feeds previously are welcomed to subscribe here as well.

 

  • The advantages of subscribing with a feed reader or browser is that the
  •  Information is only updated when there is new material
  • No mail notifications are sent.

    • This feature is set up for pages offered through any internet provider pages selected as a home page.  
    • By taking the time to set up the “My Page” options at your home page there is a section for news feeds. 
    • There is a place where you are given the option to “add url.” 
    • The URL is the address to the blog or news feed. By typing “www.debraford123.com/blog1” for DEBWEBLOG which will remain a public feed.

    •  in the future will be divided into a private feed for registered users for secure content. 
    • Notice will be given when the final steps have been made for secured site usage.  
    • Those who have signed the guest book will receive a single one time notice when the secure site is opened.  
  • After  adding a blog item as  a news feed at your home page
    • the updates automatically show up at your home page as a news feature. 
    • If no new information is posted it will show “content unavailable” or something to that nature on those days.
    • A link directly to the site is automatically placed in the news feed section if you decided to visit.  That way you don’t have to remember the url’s to the various sites. 
    • Effort is being made  to put all of the Url’s to the debraford123 sister sites as links to each other  creating a DEBWEB  with each sister site  having a unique focus and theme.
