Meet the Artist Feedback
With me I took my head, my heart
No Right or Wrong -prosetically speaking - a larger image view
The first time I blogged this using the image directly uploaded here at 360. Though the import was handled well with the auto resizing the proportions and the full size image is not clear or good for reading. Using my own resizing I have stored the image elsewhere on line. And, now that I know what I am doing, I can show the full scanned image here. Note this is not what I consider to be best quality graphics, but while working within my current means, I can still share these things with you. The drawing was done in a sketchbook. While playing with some webpage building software on a friends computer I scanned in the image and set it as background. Then I started typing. The two poems were typed back to back, pretty much without thinking about it. My focus was on trying to get to the next step of the web development software, and have content by the time I did. I think it's important to mention this because people have asked in the past where do I get ideas from. Sometimes things are planned ideas for poetry, with specific themes or messages. When writing on-the-fly I may pick a topic and pour out the idea as I feel it and as I have understanding of the concept. So the "insta-poems" as I call them come out true to heart. There is the occasion when I can point the idea at a certain perspective which is not my own, but, that still falls within the realm of my understanding of that alternate perception. There Rhyme schemes lengths, beats and patterns come second nature sometimes because I have written so many that I have rhythmic formulas in my head and I only think of the wording. But, all in all I can say that it took me less time to do that page than it is taking to write abut what I did and blog it. The drawing of course was done separately and the amount of time for that it took is a different story. Now this image still isn't showing the pencil shadings in definition as I used between 2F and 6F pencil hardness to do the drawing, if memory serves me right. Now I can't tell you what I ate 3 days ago, but, I can remember which pencils I used 5 or six years ago. I did the flower when I was introducing myself with a closer familiarity of floral types.  I also in the same week or month did several flowers with gel ink, which I think are cool , because I like gel ink, but I didn't' quite finish them off formally because I thought no one would see my sketch book but me an a few people. And look a me now, most of the art I am sharing is from the sketchbooks. Life can be quite ironic. Image
